Practice and form

John Suigen Kennworthy and other members of SWZ are in the process of preparing a ‘form guide’ that will be available in the near future. The guide will be a template that can be used by all Stonewater Zen Sangha members and groups associated with SWZ such that we can, all together, maintain a uniformity and continuity of practice. Suigen asked me to write a short piece on form for the guide and it is copied out below. With the Crosby sesshin approaching I thought I would be a good time to post it here. Struggle and Lack

The teaching tells us that suffering or lack of ease arises because of our attachments and ongoing sense that something is lacking. This latter usually takes the form of experiencing a lack of a very basic feeling of security – a security that we all know consciously or otherwise life can never ultimately provide.

Massocki returns to Cameroon

Farewell to Massocki from Cameroon who trained regularly with us at the StoneWater Zendo, Liverpool. Sadly, he has now returned home. We will miss him a lot and wish him all the best for the future. We can now look forward to StoneWater Zen, Cameroon! Keizan Sensei
